This site is dedicated to the memories of:

• Hooch (1990-2003), a smooth-coated Chow Chow adopted at the age of 12 from The Humane Society for Seattle/King County.

• Mr. B. (1993-2006), a black Lab adopted at the age of 13 from Pasado's Safe Haven.

•  The dozens of foster dogs who have passed through my home on the way to theirs.  

• All of the animals who are mutilated, tortured and violently killed each and every day to serve as food, clothing, entertainment and subjects for medical research. For more information, watch a beautiful, haunting, tragic film entitled Earthlings.

 “We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err.

"For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear.
